The Tako. My all time favorite sea creature. I find the octopus in the reef and tickle them out of holes which sometimes is a pretty good fight because often I just use my bare hands and these guys are quick and very good at camoflouge and wedging themselves deep into crevices in the reef. After I catch them I try to sooth them with cuddles and let them just hangout on me calmly before I photograph them because they are the coolest looking creatures. In Hawai’i the Octopus is called a “tako” or in Hawaiian “He’e”. The octopus is considered to be the most intelligent of all invertebrates and like humans, they learn from experience. They improvise on shelter and act very quickly and strategically hide in the reef from predators.
